Consider a shorter work week or day as a recruiting tool

As a recruiter, I placed several candidates last year on a 3/4 schedule, or approx. 30 hours a week. The candidates were able to enjoy some of the benefits of ‘feeling’ full-time, and the client was able to attract talent in a tight market. One candidate was a mom, and one was in the ‘twilight’ of their career.

Studies show higher profits, more engagement and productivity from employees can come from shorter workweeks or workdays.

Just another tip for companies struggling to staff, consider offering schedule flexibility or a 4-day workweek. It costs the employers less and they might get great performances!
